No because I hate just about everything about the Watchtower and its teachings. Beside I think I would be kicked out again within a week. I would tell parents that it isn't healthy to take their children out in service. That they should take the to the beach or a ball game or do something else that normal people do with their kids on the weekend. I think that alone would having them showing me the door before I had a chance point out all the other things they are doing that are wrong or in some cases evil.

New Corporate Smoking Policy - Need some suggestions.

our company is establishing a new tobacco policy where smokers and tobacco users are no longer allowed to use tobacco in any form, either cigarettes, cigars, pipes, chew, or snuff, anywhere on company property.
this includes inside or outside the building, the parking lot, or even in your own personal vehicle while in the parking lot.

You might want to go to "quackwatch.org" and see if there is anything on that site about this form of treatment. As for macrobiotics one of the leading proponents of that diet Michio Kushi's wife Aveline died of cancer. She wrote a book called "The Macrobiotic Cancer Prevention Cookbook". Also one of their daughters died of cancer. In the end Anveline even tried conventional cancer treatment to see if it would help.

About 15 years ago I worked for a company that went to a no smoking policy. The first thing they did was create designated smoking areas. These were the only area where you could smoke. They also announced that in 6 months those areas would be gone and there would be no more smoking at work. They also offered a program to help you quit. If companies are going to do something like this it would be best to do it in stages and offer the employees help. I have mixed feeling about policies and laws like this because I feel it is a slippery slope to go down. I'm waiting for someone to be charged with child abuse for smoking with children in their home. On one hand I feel it is taking away personal freedoms but on the other hand we are all better off for them. Stores, offices and bars just smell better these days. Around here more and more beaches are making smoking illegal. I believe San Francisco has, or is going to make it illegal to smoke in the city even outside of the buildings. In the future you will see more cities doing things like this. Also some people act like you are exposing yourself if you light up in front of them. I think it is time to read the writing on the wall if you smoke. It is getting to be way too much trouble to smoke so it is better to just quit.

No thank you I'll pass. I had to go to a KH a few weeks ago for the first time in over twenty years so I am good for another twenty. I do plan on going out for some wine the following night but I'll be going somewhere where you get cheese with the cracks and are allowed to drink the wine and don't have to wear a tie and don't have to listen to a boring talk. Then again maybe if they would let you drink the wine the talk wouldn't be quite as boring.

I think you make a good point. What keeps a lot of people in the Watchtower is the security of never having to grow up and think for themselves. I have met a lot of x-dubs online who have a lot of trouble dealing with the fact that they no longer have some who has all the answers to turn to.
